Título: Critical review of three models on how bilingual lexicon is organised
Resumen:The present article critically reviews the two most influential hierarchical models that have been proposed to account for the organisation of the bilingual lexicon. That is, the word association and concept mediation models (Potter et al., 1984) and the Revised Hierarchical Model (RHM) proposed by Kroll and Stewart (1994). Finally, it will also examine recent research on how bilinguals organise the vocabulary of different languages and it will offer a conclusion.
